Dr. Wanda Hicks, DrNP, FNP-BC

Dr. Wanda Denise Hicks, DNP, FNP, is a highly experienced Nurse Practitioner Specialist based in Mobile, Alabama, with more than 20 years of clinical, academic, and leadership experience. She graduated with honors in 2003 and has dedicated her career to providing high‑quality, patient‑centered care across primary care, hospitalist medicine, emergency services, hospice, and long‑term care settings. Dr. Hicks is the CEO and Founder of Hicks Home‑Based Primary Care, LLC, and has held leadership roles including Chief Nurse Practitioner at a Federally Qualified Health Center. She currently serves as a Regional Nurse Leader, supporting nursing workforce development, volunteer engagement, and regional health capacity. Her professional background also includes clinical faculty experience, hospitalist and emergency care, telehealth nursing, and psychiatric and wound care services. Committed to community service and health equity, Dr. Hicks actively volunteers with the American Red Cross and continues to advance nursing leadership through mentorship, education, and service. Dr. Hicks has served:
